Mar 06, 2023DENSO Expands Its Line Of First Time Fit Oxygen Sensors
DENSO Products and Services Americas is adding 65 part numbers to its comprehensive line of First Time Fit oxygen sensors to cover 2022 models. With 27 new replacement units available by the end of September and another 38 coming in mid-2022, DENSO is increasing its product line to 1,362 part numbers and continuing to lead the industry with its high-quality oxygen sensors covering 99% of vehicles made in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
"Oxygen sensors are among the most sensitive and critical components on any vehicle," said Reggie Cruz, senior manager of Product Development. "These new part numbers ensure DENSO's superior oxygen sensors cover nearly 22 million vehicles on the road today, including nearly all 2021 models."
DENSO says its First Time Fit oxygen sensors meet or exceed both the needs of today's highly sophisticated engines controlled by state-of-the-art onboard computers. They also meet or exceed the original equipment tolerances set by vehicle manufacturers, according to DENSO.
Key features include corrosion-resistant stainless-steel construction, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) filters to block efficiency-robbing water and contaminants, and a refined zirconia element to improve sensor response. A malfunctioning oxygen sensor can reduce fuel economy, hinder vehicle performance, increase tailpipe emissions, and lead to engine damage resulting in costly and time-consuming repairs, DENSO says.
Twelve new part numbers are already available for purchase, and DENSO updates its digital catalog with the release of each additional part number. The online resource makes it easy to find the right oxygen sensor and any other replacement part quickly by searching the year, make and model of the vehicle.
