Fiat Chrysler Automóveis Brasil Ltda. is recalling approximately 781 units of its Fiat Pulse, Fiat Fastback, and Fiat Toro models due to a possible bolt breaking that secures the high-pressure fuel pump assembly on the turbocharged 1.3-liter inline-four-cylinder engines (known in Brazil as the T270). The FIAT recall is a follow-up to the Jeep® recall we posted yesterday.
According to an official statement from the brand, the possibility of breaking the screw securing the high-pressure fuel pump to the engine was identified.
FIAT Brazil dealers began scheduling appointments for the fix starting yesterday, Monday, November, 28th. The service will be provided, free of charge, and if necessary the vehicle will receive a replacement high-pressure fuel pump assembly on those recalled vehicles.
The services will be carried out by prior appointment, for this reason, it is important that you contact the dealership of your choice to be informed about the forecast of your service. The estimated repair time is approximately two hours.
